Screenlab offers DTF gang sheets for arranging multiple designs together on one transfer sheet. Our DTF printing sheets are 40 × 50 cm premium film, so there is room to fit multiple designs per sheet. Each DTF gang sheet is priced per sheet, not per design, so filling a gang sheet gets the most out of it. Set each design up following our artwork guidelines — transparent background, high resolution.

How to Apply Your DTF Transfers
Press or iron your DTF transfer onto your own apparel using the recommended application instructions. Application steps for the best result with a heat press. No press? Use a household iron.
Pre-Press Your Garment
Removes moisture & ensures a solid bond.
Position Your Design & Press at 160°C for 10-15 seconds
Using Medium Pressure (45 PSI)
Cold Peel
Let it cool completely before peeling. Screenlab’s application instructions specify a cold peel, so do not use a hot peel.
2nd Press for 5 seconds Recommended
Improves durability & gives a soft matte finish. (Use Baking Paper over the design when pressing a second time)
No Heat Press? Apply With a Household Iron
You don't need commercial gear. What you do need is a hard surface and firm, steady pressure — the two things an iron makes easy to get wrong.
Prepare the surface
Lay down a flat, hard, heat-resistant surface — a wooden table or benchtop. Avoid soft ironing boards, which absorb the pressure you need. Cover it with a pillowcase or a pressing mat.
Set your iron to cotton
The cotton setting — hot.
Preheat the fabric
Iron the target area of the garment for 10–15 seconds to remove all wrinkles and any hidden moisture.
Position your design
Place your DTF transfer onto the garment in the spot you want it.
Cover with protection
Place a sheet of parchment paper or a thin pressing cloth directly over the design, to protect both the fabric and the graphic from burning.
Apply heat and pressure
Press the iron straight down with firm, two-handed pressure on the design for 10–15 seconds. Do not slide the iron around as you would when ironing normally — hold it steady.
Cool and peel
Let the garment and the transfer cool completely before slowly peeling away the plastic liner.
Final seal
Flip the garment inside out, or place the parchment paper back over the design, and press for another 10–15 seconds to lock it in. Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash, then follow our care guide.
Different garments, materials and irons all vary. Press a test sheet first and fine-tune your process before committing to a big run.
You Are Responsible for the Final Application
We provide high-quality DTF transfers that we use in house, but once they leave our hands, it's up to you to apply them correctly.
We do not take responsibility for damaged garments due to improper pressing.

What are DTF transfers?
DTF transfers are premium, ready-to-press designs that you apply to your own apparel. Screenlab prints the transfers in full colour using its standard Direct-to-Film method, then ships them from its Nerang factory on the Gold Coast to customers anywhere in Australia. Screenlab was the first print company in Australia to go 100% DTF, in 2021. They can be pressed onto cotton, polyester and cotton polyester blend garments; press a test first, as fabrics vary.
How fast are DTF transfers dispatched?
DTF transfer orders placed before 10am AEST (Queensland time) on a business day are printed and dispatched the same day. Orders placed after 10am are printed and dispatched the next business day, and weekends and public holidays roll forward to the next business day. This applies to every order size, from one sheet upwards. During daylight saving, 10am AEST is 11am in NSW, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania.
Can I order just one DTF transfer sheet?
Yes. There is no minimum quantity and no setup fee, so a single 40 × 50 cm sheet is $20 including GST. Shipping is a flat $15.95 Express to anywhere in Australia, or free if you collect from the Nerang factory. Bulk pricing drops to $10 a sheet at 50+ sheets and is applied automatically at checkout.
Can Screenlab print DTF transfers onto my supplied garments?
No. Screenlab sells DTF transfers for customers to press onto their own apparel, but it does not print on customer-supplied blanks. You can either purchase transfers to apply yourself or order custom apparel printed by Screenlab on available garments, including t-shirts, hoodies, polos, workwear and headwear. To sell your designs without pressing anything, a print-on-demand merch store prints each order as it comes in.
How do I order custom DTF transfers in Australia?
Use Screenlab’s online DTF transfer ordering tool to upload your artwork (check it against the artwork guidelines first), choose how many sheets you need and submit your order. The transfers are printed in-house at the Nerang factory on the Gold Coast. Orders placed before 10am AEST are printed and dispatched the same day; after 10am, the next business day.
How do I apply DTF transfers to my own apparel?
You press the transfer onto your apparel yourself after receiving it. Screenlab provides DTF transfers for customer application, but the final result depends on how the transfer is applied.
